Society relies on the criminal justice program to maintain buy within communities and to maintain a safe environment for community members. Society expects the criminal justice system to supply justice by separating the guilty from the innocent, to incapacitate harmful individuals, in promoting deterrence to law-breaking people, and to rehabilitate offenders. An important expectation from the criminal justice system is to provide fair and simply consequences to criminal offenders and assist the offenders with reintegrating into society. Some of the targets of the felony justice system are not fulfilled therefore; the purpose of this research is to describe methods for increasing the criminal justice system to meet the expectations of society. This analysis will also provide the required procedures the criminal justice system could take to make these suggestions an actual policy.
The present criminal rights policies are inclined to punish offenders as a method of crime control and offense prevention (American Bar Association Criminal Justice System Advancements., n. g. ). Although punishment is important for many legal offenses and criminal offenders, a abuse is not just a necessity for any crimes. Most of the time in which narcotic transfers are participating, the punishment of incarceration for a long length of time is cruel and unusual. Narcotic transfers are generally considered non-violent crimes and subsequent to incarceration, the culprit is continually punished since their capacity to reintegrate back into society and turn law-abiding, contributing members of society is definitely hindered (American Bar Association Criminal Proper rights System Advancements., n. g. ).
